The reception was airy and neat. Had individual room with nice bed, great shower and the bedroom too for the BEST stay. So many fresh options for breakfast, such as cereal and pudding.
Its breakfast certainly should of been was n't included in the cost.

Big building, gorgeous design. Breakfast food was inclusive, staff were very competent! Handy location to north laine. Also, I liked how brilliant the location was.
-
Very polite staff, marvellous view, fairly good breakfast. Nothing was much trouble for the reception staff, GOAT! Gorgeous room, fairly clean with superb bathrooms. Great stay in this beautiful area. In the restaurant they served French cuisine dishes.

All in all really nice stay. It deserves its 4 stars.

Positioned 5 mins on foot from the lanes, the venue was also really close to many other major attractions. The rooms and food are good, no complains at all. Sincerely, it was a great stay.

Superior room was very comfortable and bath in bedroom a good novelty. Hotel bar is great, roomy, comfortable, good service and the outside area very pleasant. Did not eat dinner at hotel but menu looked good and breakfast was nice if a little expensive in nicely decorated restaurant even though the view into the street is not great. Perhaps some frosted glass would help. All in all a very lovely experience for both my husband and myself.

The quality of the hotel in all aspects is excellent. In particular, attention has been made to those aspects of a room, which make the difference: The quality of the matress and pillows, the bathroom, shower facilities and extras. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant. The pub du vin next door, is also an excellent addition to this hotel group's customer experience.

1. Design and comfort of bar area. 2. Bath and shower. 3. Peace and quiet.
1. Room service breakfast offers no hot options - not a good sign for a supposedly luxury boutique hotel. Even the pastries weren't warmed. And the fruit salad had sat out too long. 2. Late check-out requested; one hour offered and accepted but not noted on system so chased by phone the following morning with no apology! 3. Pillows too squishy. 4. No IPod docking station, usually a norm in boutique hotels.

relaxed stylish hotel and rooms together with a very attractive restaurant

Location excellent, ambience very good
Breakfast - toast served well before the breakfast came out, long time to wait for a cooked breakfast, eggs not cooked as ordered. Breakfast not very hot, toast cold when it came to the table. No complimentary water in the room, had to pay for it from the mini bar and was expensive.

Excellent location, 2 mins from seafront.
I have stayed at other Hotel du Vin's and was disappointed by some of the service elements. The restaurant service was poor - very slapdash, and it seemed like everyone around us had their orders forgotten by the waiters. Inexperienced staff, and also the housekeeper was extremely brusque. Not up to normal HDV standards which was a shame, and definitely not worth what we paid for the weekend considering the service.

We both stayed here at the hotel and held our wedding breakfast in one of the private dining rooms and every part of our experiences with Hotel Du Vin has been perfect. The staff are wonderful, in particular Clint and Katie who we dealt with really excelled themselves and we couldn't have been happier. The meal was fantastic, the setting superb and the service seamless; our very exacting standards were met on every level. Enough said!

We were attending a private dining party and from start to finish the service was excellent from the fantastic receptionist through to all the waiting/bar staff. Our room was everything and more that you would expect from this chain
-
The restaurant is expensive for what you get. I would suggest staying with the meat dishes.

The excellent service from all of he staff. Polite, friendly and professional.
